ASPM receives TS-16949
All Service Plastic Molding, Inc., has been approved to the ISO/TS 16949,
2002 (w/o design) quality management system standards and requirements.
This is a follow-up to Minco Tool and Mold receiving ISO-9001:2000 With
Design in 2002. ASPM received certification for QS-9000 in 1999. Both
companies have a history of very successful surveillance audits, and have
used both systems to improve upon meeting the needs of their customers.
Both ASPM and Minco Tool and Mold use Smithers Quality Assessments, Inc.,
as its registrar. With QS expiring, ASPM pursued the certification to
further help serve the needs of their customers.

Minco Tool and Mold adds capacity
for larger molds
Minco Tool and Mold has significantly increased the capacity for larger
molds. We can now offer mold build, mold repair, and maintenance
for molds that run in 3000-ton machines. With the addition of a 15-ton
crane and large machining centers, we are able to offer more services
to our customers.
We currently offer mold build, mold repair, and Preventive Maintenance
programs for larger molds.
This growth into larger molds just follows several high-speed machine
center purchases, and shows our commitment to exceeding customer needs.

The Minco Group expands gas-assist
capabilities !!!
In addition to building tooling for gas-assist capabilities, Minco Tool
and Mold has been helping customers develop unique gas-assist capabilities.
Now, ASPM is proud to add production gas-assist capabilities. With the
addition of an a Bauer Model NCU2C Nitrogen Control unit, ASPM will be
serving the automotive and office equipment industry with their gas-assist
capabilities.
The Bauer unit has two channels, touch screen interface, and 5000 psi
output. The unit also includes a Bauer Gas Booster, BST-0001 (the pump
portion of the gas assist system), and two nozzle shut off assemblies.

QS-9000 and ISO-9001 Certification
The Minco Group is proud to announce the QS-9000 certification
of their molding facility, All Service Plastic Molding, and the ISO-9001
certification of their mold manufacturing facility, Minco Tool & Mold,
located in Dayton, Ohio.
The certifications are part of their continuous improvement initiative
to refine their management system, thus improving performance. The certifications
enhance the solid procedures of The Minco Group that have served customers
in the automotive, consumer, electrical, medical, office and business
equipment, and telecommunications industries since 1954.
All Service Plastic Molding (ASPM) is a full-service plastic injection
molding operation that has 39 modern molding machines ranging from 50
tons through 950 tons. Their secondary operations include pad printing,
hot stamping, sonic welding, and component assembly.
Minco Tool & Mold is a world-class plastic injection mold manufacturing
facility, supplying several Fortune 500 companies. Their services include
product design, mold design, and mold manufacturing.

The Minco Group expands CMM capabilities
!!!
The Minco Group is proud to add an LK G90CS coordinate
measuring machine. In addition to providing new capabilities, including
CAD link-up and reverse engineering, The Minco Group will be able to respond
faster to the increasing needs of our customers.
The new CMM has measuring capabilities of x = 60" or 1500 mm, y =
40" or 100 mm, and z = 32" or 800 mm. The CNC unit utilizes
direct computer control, a strain gauge probe, and operates completely
in solids.
With the ability to import and export in solids, Minco Tool and Mold will
verify steel dimensions and validate mold sample parts. ASPM will use
the unit for PPAP submissions and to assure production quality.
